Swallowtail Vineyards is a fictional boutique winery, founded in 1972 and located outside of Eugene, Oregon. They had the same look and feel since their opening, and decided they needed an updating. They wanted an image that was more fun and appealed to the new generation of wine lovers. The assignment was to create packaging for three specific wines, all ranging from $25-$35 a bottle, along with a specialty bottle for their $125 Reserve Syrah. In addition, we needed to package a number of specialty items that were sold in their gift shop.
My concept was inspired by the Oregon State flag; it is the only state flag that has two different sides. I decided to create two separate labels for each wine, with different looks and feels, that worked together to create a whole functioning label. I used colors inspired by the descriptions of each wine, with one bright tone to pop out. The label for the Syrah is printed on a heavier paper with a hint of shimmer, with glittered details. I kept the labels for the specialty items much simpler as they are not the selling point of the winery, but still work cohesively with the wine.

A series of conceptual greeting cards. Cards usually accompany presents when given, so I developed a series of greeting cards that act as presents by themselves.

Sporting Legends is the Hall of Fame for MLS team Sporting Kansas City (including players/coaches from the club's predecessor, the Kansas City Wizards). Sporting Legends debuted in August 2013 and initiated its first class, which included former Wizards players Preki and Tony Meola, as well as former Wizards coach Bob Gansler.
One of the big projects I worked on during my internship with Sporting Kansas City was the creation and development of the Sporting Legends logo and identity. I was also tasked with creating a frame and endslates for the videos that would accompany the ceremony. These graphics would have to function within the dimensions of the videoboard in the stadium, as well as on television screens.

Packaging design for Grainwood Farms, a fictional organic farm that specializes in whole grain breads. The assignment required us to design an identity that had a more mass appeal and was more marketable than traditional organic brands, specifically toward customers who were ‘on the fence’ with regards to organic foods. Packaging needs for the company included three types of cereal, one of which was aimed toward kids. Additionally, I decided to design packaging for granola bars, figuring that the farm could plausibly produce and sell them to accompany their line of cereal.
